Invitation for SIME 2026 Authors

Authors of high-quality papers presented at SIME 2026 will be invited to submit extended versions of their conference papers for consideration in this special issue. Extended manuscripts must contain substantial new material (30-50% new content) and will undergo rigorous peer-review.

This is your opportunity to publish an extended version in a prestigious journal with APCs waived.

Call for Contributed Papers

We invite the submission of original research papers, written in English, for presentation at the conference. Submissions are solicited in two categories: Regular Papers and Short Papers (Work-in-Progress).

1- Regular Papers: Regular papers should present substantial, completed research with comprehensive findings.

  • Length: 4 to 6 pages, including all figures, tables, and references (Click here to dowload the templates).
  • References: Up to 8 references must be included.
  • Presentation: Accepted regular papers will be presented in a 15-minute slot (including Q&A).

2- Short Papers (Work-in-Progress): Short papers are ideal for presenting preliminary results, novel ideas, or ongoing projects that are not yet fully mature but show high potential.

  • Length: 2 to 3 pages, including all figures, tables, and references (Click here to dowload the templates).
  • References: Up to 5 references must be included.
  • Presentation: Accepted short papers will be presented in a 10-minute slot (including Q&A).

Call for Special Sessions

We invite recognised experts and senior researchers to propose and chair cohesive, focused sessions. This is your opportunity to curate a dedicated forum on a pressing or emerging theme within medical technology or engineering.

What we are looking for:

  • Proposals for 90-minute sessions, typically containing 3-5 presentations.

  • Compelling themes that address current challenges, future trends, or interdisciplinary intersections.

  • Sessions that promise to stimulate discussion and attract a significant audience.

  • Presentation Requirement: Accepted papers must be presented at the conference by one of the authors to be included in the proceedings.
